Serving the job of a digital nomad is indeed an incredibly important thing to do for your survival. This job allows one to work remotely from the place of one’s convenience, either at home or in some pleasant tourist location. The covid 19 pandemic severely shook many lives physically and financially too. The countries whose sole source of income generation is tourism were wobbling terribly and arrived at the decision of launching a new venture in the form of digital nomad visas, inviting freelancers or digital nomads to their land for work.

Some of the countries around the world that offer digital nomad visas are as follows:

  • Germany

The digital nomad visa provided by Germany is essentially a kind of residency permit for freelancers from other countries and for self-employed individuals. The permit would allow one to stay in Germany for 3 years. One would need to get in touch with the German authorities for getting a visa and that might take up to 4 months to complete the formalities.

  • Dominica

Dominica is probably the cheapest option one can avail of for fetching the digital nomad visa. This country offers the least expensive living for the digital nomads. The time period for which one can stay in Dominica on a digital nomad visa is 18 months. The digital nomad visa program is regarded as the WIN Work in Nature by the Commonwealth of Dominica.

  • Mexico

Mexico has been one of the desirable places for wanderlust travelers or for the digital nomads. The beauty of this nation entacices nomads to stay surrounded by the delightful landscapes and enjoy the great cuisines. The temporary resident visa of Mexico allows one to stay and work in this country for about 3 years.

  • Portugal

Portugal offers great opportunities for digital nomads to dwell here as independent workers or entrepreneurs by seeking independent worker or entrepreneur visas. This category of visa has validity for about a year but can be extended up to 5 years. If one feels comfortable working at such a stunning and soothing beachy place then it would be a great idea to renew the visa and stay here for longer.

  • UAE

In UAE, especially in Dubai, digital nomads or remote workers are showered with great benefits, not forgetting the most delightful one, which is the zero income tax service. Dubai has launched a virtual working program that allows digital nomads to stay here for 1 year.

  • Thailand

Countries like Thailand have been the favorite place for digital nomads as this country offers cheap accommodation. The climatic conditions strengthened by the scenic beauty of Bangkok and Chiang Mai attract remote travelers. One can make use of the 3 months tourist visa to work here as a digital nomad. An added benefit to this visa is the extension of more than 6 months which makes for a whole 9 months. Also, the government is working on launching an exclusive digital nomad visa.

  • Indonesia

Bali in Indonesia is a place that has plenty of coworking spaces such as cafes or a number of public spots where digital nomads can work comfortably. This place is adequately pleasant and offers a good working environment, helping one to stay more productive. However, there is no special provision for the digital nomads when it comes to visas, however, one can avail of the tourist visa and renew it at intervals of 2 months.

  • Mexico

Enjoy the low cost of living near the diverse landscapes, natural bliss, and huge architectural structures by availing the tourist visa of Mexico. This beachside, naturally and culturally rich beauty is considered to be one of the beloved places by remote workers or digital nomads. There are 2 options available for the digital nomads to stay in Mexico. Either a long-term tourist visa that allows one to hang around in Mexico for a duration of 6 months or a temporary resident visa that permits one to stay for 1 year, offering a renewed extension for another 3 years.

  • Mauritius

This place is highly preferred by Indians when it comes to spending holidays and could also serve as a great one when it comes to delighting the digital nomads. The stunning beauty of the beaches, mountains and the tempting food, gives enough reasons to choose this country for remote working. The premium visa program offered by Mauritius is useful for digital nomads as it does not charge any fee and requires no income proof.

  • Croatia

The official digital nomad visa of Croatia opens up wide opportunity doors for a variety of remote workers. The country is incredibly beautiful and is indeed an affectionate one for tourists all over the world. If you get to work here, you must consider yourself fortunate enough. However, one drawback this country possesses is the expensive cost of living. If you think your monthly package is healthier then only you must try to get into this country for remote working. Or else, it might dig a deep hole in your pockets.

  • Greece

Greece is totally a package of pleasure for the digital nomads, as this country offers two programs to make it possible for remote workers to live here.
